Paul said, "I know when I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day" (2 Tim. 1:12). And you and I can say the same.
In Psalm 119:20 we read, "My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times." If we are consumed with longing for God's gifts, then our life will become a journey of discovery. We are assisted on that journey by the Holy Spirit who is the Owner of those riches.
In these days we are in training for the kingdom of peace that will come on earth. The bible is full of of promises regarding the things that are going to happen when Jesus returns. The wolf will lie with lamb, swords will be changed into plowshares, nuclear energy will be used to build up, to heal, and no longer to destroy.
Jesus loves sinners. He only loves sinners. He has never turned anyone away who came to Him for forgiveness, and He died on the cross for sinners, not for respectable people. It was exactly for sinners that He suffered so terribly on the cross, so much so that it was almost impossible for him to bear. So dreadful, that He said, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34). He did all that for sinners like you, so just come.
To explain how we can show love to the unlovable, our Lord Jesus used the example of the vine and the branches. A branch that remains in the vine produces fruit. If we remain in Jesus, he produces fruit through us, then love regains the victory in our hearts!
We must learn not to depend on the wisdom of the wise, but on the foolishness of God. Then the impossible happens like the five thousand people in John 6 who had to be fed by the disciples with only a few loaves and fishes.
Be filled with the Spirit of God and this fruit of the Spirit - love - will be so much stronger than annoyance, indignation, or hatred, that these are changed into forgiving, forgetting, and loving. - Corrie ten Boom
Obedience is extremely important. Love and obedience belong together. Even when it storms, there can still be peace. Jesus was obedient; He was prepared to die on a cross for you and me. What Love!
When we were born again, we were born into God’s family and the Lord Jesus gave us eternal life - age-abiding life. He made us citizens of heaven. - NOT I BUT CHRIST,Corrie ten Boom
When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer. - Corrie ten Boom
Are there problems that you cannot conquer with human love? Do it from now on with God’s love. God’s “agape,” which never falls short. - Corrie ten Boom
